PHOENIX — The Foundation for Senior Living (FSL) has partnered with Wildfire (formerly the Arizona Community Action Association) and the City of Phoenix to distribute $2 million in aid to Phoenix residents needing help covering their living expenses.
These funds were allocated to City of Phoenix under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The Phoenix COVID-19 Program is offered through Dec. 30 in an effort to mitigate the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’re so appreciative of this opportunity to help those in need throughout our community,” said FSL president and CEO Tom Egan in a July 6 press release.
FSL is among several non-profits partnering with Wildfire and the city distributing the federal funds to assist residents with rent or mortgage and utility bills including electric, gas or water.
“We know Phoenix residents are in need of assistance,” Egan said. “If you have been financially impacted by COVID-19 and are struggling to keep up with your monthly payments, please call us to see if you qualify for assistance through this program.”
